Can I use your art on my webpage?
Please contact Melissa for permission. Many of the pieces are licensed
to a 3rd party. Depending on the licensing agreement the images may or
may not be available for non profit use.
If you have received written permission to use artwork
on your site please follow a few simple requests I have:
- You must have
a "© Melissa M. Cook" on
any page you display my art.
- Don't link directly to the images on
my site. This leaches my bandwidth and slows it down for viewers
on your site as well.
- Do not edit the image. Period.
- Do not sell the image or profit from
it in any way.
- For any other circumstances or questions e-mail Melissa.
- Linking back to
the Creative Storm Galleries will always put a smile on Melissa's face!
Can I use your art for other purposes?
It depends on the image and the circumstances under which the art will
be used. Email
me and I will be happy to discuss the possibilities with
you.
Can I purchase artwork that I see on the website?
Merchandise is on the way! Limited edition prints, open edition prints,
show posters, and even a few originals will be available soon. If you
would like to notified when the store is up and running please join
the mailing list.
Do you take commissions?
Absolutely. Email
me & we'll get the ball rolling.
How long does it take to finish a piece of artwork? Depending on the complexity of the image, it can take anywhere from 10 to 60 hrs.
What media does Melissa use to create artwork? Most of the time I work digitally. My programs of choice are Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Occasionally Corel Painter and Adobe In Design are also used. My traditional media of choice is soft pastel and Art Spectrum Colourfix paper.
My band needs a promotional overhaul and a new look, what services do you provide? If you can dream it, I'll create it.
CSS excels in illustrating poster art but also offers design services for other promotional items such as, cd layout and packaging, press kits, handbills, etc.
Can we supply you with our own photos to use in our press kit or cd layout? If you have quality high resolution photographs available, you are welcome to submit them for review and use. CSS can also take photographs for you if you do not have them or would like updated images.
Don't see your question here? Email
me and I'll answer your question as soon as I can.
